An exceptional one-of-one original drawing by Kanye West, created during his formative art-school years in the 1990s — long before The College Dropout, Yeezy, or worldwide fame.
This large-format 18" x 24" graphite drawing features a prominent figure kneeling and holding a pistol, and several other human figures captured in energetic, highly expressive poses. The page feels almost like a sequence of movement studies, with Kanye repeatedly exploring the body from different angles and positions.
The piece was preserved among Kanye’s early artwork by his mother and bears the “Donda C. West” stamp on the reverse. It was later publicly sold through Julien’s Auctions in 2022, giving the piece documented auction provenance.
