An extraordinary original artwork from Kanye West’s formative years as a visual artist — created long before The College Dropout, Roc-A-Fella, Yeezy, or worldwide fame.
This large-format 18" x 24" graphite figure study dates to Kanye’s art-school years in the 1990s and features two highly detailed human figures captured in dynamic, athletic poses. The work shows Kanye studying anatomy, movement, balance, proportion, and gesture at a point in his life when visual art was still one of his primary creative disciplines.
The reverse bears the “Donda C. West” stamp, directly connecting the piece to the archive of early work preserved by his mother.
It was later sold publicly through Julien’s Auctions in 2022.
